THEATRE PERFORMANCE AND PRODUCTION
CAT has many opportunities to volunteer in creating live theatre. Volunteers act and direct, but they also participate in other vital ways that are equally important.
“BUT I DON’T ACT!”
Volunteers design, build and paint sets, find or create props, stage manage, design hair and make-up, design lights and soundscapes, design and select costumes, work as backstage crew, and much more.
Creating live theatre is all about teamwork!
We’re thrilled to offer our volunteers the chance to learn these roles, and the rewarding experiences of creativity and teamwork that come with it!
We provide training workshops from time-to-time in areas like acting, directing, lighting, sound, makeup, and more, depending on what our volunteer needs are at the time. We also try to pair experienced volunteers with inexperienced ones whenever possible.
Volunteers are very important at CAT.
CAT will:
Provide you with training and support
Address your concerns, problems and issues
Keep you informed
Treat you with courtesy and respect
Provide you with a safe and enjoyable atmosphere in which to volunteer
Acknowledge, appreciate and reward you
