We are offering something for everyone. Murder mystery, an old holiday favorite, romantic dramedy, and stories about what it means to be a senior. Genre’s range from  Murder Mystery, haunting Victorian drama, romance, and comedy. Plus a very special new festival.

Ten strangers are summoned to a remote island. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they’re unwilling to reveal and a secret that will seal their fate… for each has been marked for murder. As the weather turns and the group is cut off from the mainland, the bloodbath begins; one by one, they are brutally murdered in accordance with the lines of a sinister nursery rhyme about “Ten Little Soldier Boys.

Sylvan Lake Theatre’s holiday hit is back by demandat Central Alberta Theatre . This wonderful musical about the power of family, redemption and the Christmas spirit is unforgettable entertainment for ages 12+.  Over 1,000 people came to see it last season with even more clamoring for tickets.  Just a sample of the many raves we received:

Crossing Delancey

Isabel is a modern young woman who lives alone and works in a book shop. When she is not pining after a handsome author, she is visiting her grandmother (Bubbe) in Manhattan's Lower East Side. This irascible granny and her friend the matchmaker have found a "good catch" for Isabel, whose initial reluctance gives way to a blossoming romance when she finally meets Sam, the pickle vendor, as the end of the play offers a new beginning.

Senior Moments

Five One Act Plays all depicting various forms of comedy. At times whimsical, satirical, self-deprecating, and always hilarious. "Senior Moments" touches on the realities of old age, and the trials and tribulations that come with it.


Spring On Stage Play Festival:Dates TBA

Central Alberta Theatre in collaboration with Sylvan Lake Theatre and Red Deer Players is proud to announce the new Spring On Stage Play Festival . Working as a springboard for new directing talent, this exciting festival will highlight a series of  plays, that will tour through various locations in Central Alberta. We are excited to be a part of this new venture, which will highlight the work of these emerging directors. More details to come!!!
