NOTE: No acting experience is necessary ... just the desire to have fun!

The Society's policy is that all auditions are open to the public. We need and want any interested people, newcomers and stage veterans alike, to participate in the fun and excitement of live theatre. We publicize our auditions online, in our newsletter and in the local paper to attempt to make all interested parties aware of our performing opportunities.

Our directors are usually only casting a handful of roles in the play so not everybody who auditions can be selected for a part in the play. Those not selected for acting roles are encouraged to participate in the other enjoyable activities available or try again for another play or the one-act play festival. We are always in need of assistance in other areas of theatre whether back backstage, front-of-house or in administrative roles. There are so many ways you might participate including stage management, set construction, set artwork, lighting, technical, bar staff and in the Green Room. We invite all members of the public to participate in these activities too.

Cast Auditions Parts in this production will not be cast before the conclusion of the auditions. All Central Albertans are welcome to audition for a role in the Cinderella production. Auditions will be held at 7 pm on June 25th, 26th & 27th at the Memorial Centre Main Stage. Prepared monologues will not be required. The director will ask participants to read roles of his choice and time permitting actors will also be allowed to read roles they are particularly interested in. Questions or requests for script excerpts may be forwarded to the director, Albert Azzara at azzaraa@hotmail.ca or at 403-342-5895. The many roles are described on CAT’s website at www.centralalbertatheatre.ca.
